“ We always have a great meal there. Their menu is fairly extensive along with a sushi menu. The service is good and the staff is friendly. Their dining room is large with a separate room for larger groups. My only complain is they close on Sundays. But they are definitely worth a visit. ”
“ Delicious food and always friendly and helpful staff. Have always gone toward the Japanese items on the menu, but am anxious to try their bulgogi next. ”
“ This was good but not great. I got the Bulgogi bento box which was good. Teriyaki does not travel well and it was a takeout order so not their fault. The roll included was good and the salad was also good. The Bulgogi tasted very good. My daughter enjoyed her Doi-BiBimBap very much and my husbands sushi was also good. We will be back. ”
“ My friend recommended this place during my visit, and we loved this place. When we showed up in the late afternoon, we were the first people there so we were the only guests until the end of our meal. Peter and Cookie took amazing care of us and were attentive. Anything we needed anything, they were happy to help. The chef was also very nice but I didn't ask his name. We ordered the Ginger Tea, Seaweed Salad + Gyoza (vegetable dumplings) to start, along with a small rice. The ginger tea is made with fresh ginger and is slightly sweet, the seaweed salad was authentic. The Gyoza were phenomenal; I asked Peter his advice on fried or grilled and he recommended fried. For the main course, we ordered the Fantastic Roll and the Koala Roll which were heavy hitters. 100% recommended. They have sake and are BYOB, big plus! We came back a second time, and I ordered the same thing: veggie gyoza and Fantastic Roll. My friends daughter loved the veggie dumplings just as much as I did. My friend and her daughter shared the sushi meal, and it came with sashimi that they loved. We also tried their chicken teriyaki appetizer and the meal. The appetizer comes with spicy mayo sauce which came on kebab sticks, and were too spicy for the kids but I thought they were perfect. The meal did not have spicy mayo and was sliced on a steaming platter. It was delicious as well, but I personally preferred the appetizer style. Eric and Peter were amazing servers the second time. I'm more than happy to support this local restaurant anytime I'm in town. Everything was extremely fresh, authentic, and larger portions than most places for an amazing price point. This is one of my favorite sushi restaurants from now on. You definitely don't want to miss this place. ”
“ The best Korean food in the area! Their lunch specials are reasonably portioned and priced, if you can come in for that, do it!! Their sushi is fresh, I love their salmon sushi special. They have spice levels for dishes that they make special, which I really appreciate because not everyone appreciates the same level of spice. Some days I want something extra spicy and some days I want something mildly spicy. I love that option! Their soondubu is delicious! It's a must try for Korean food in the area. ”
“ This is one of my favorite places to eat in Amherst. It's conveniently close to campus and for those who don't have cars like me, it's easily accessible by public transportation (just take the 30 to around Puffton). For those who drive, there is a small lot out front but additional parking around back. My absolute FAVORITE thing here is the salmon donburi. It never fails to satisfy my food craving and it's filling enough that even with my monster appetite, this one dish can last me two full meals. My boyfriend and I also usually order a sushi roll, and they are always delicious. The ambience here is super cute and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Can't wait for my next trip to HoT! ”
“ I really have nothing bad to say about House of Teriyaki. The staff is always very attentive and the food is always fresh and delicious. I usually order the Salmon Donburi dish or the Nabeyaki Udon Noodles which are both amazing. I ordered the salmon donburi the last time I went (as shown in the picture) and it was pretty much the exact amount to fill me up. My girlfriend and I also ordered two rolls of sushi to share which was also delicious. When I first went to HOT, I was honestly caught off-guard at how good their rolls were. Every roll of sushi that I've tried from HOT was satisfying. Definitely wish this restaurant is located in Boston so I can come here more often but will definitely come back whenever I'm visiting Amherst. ”
